PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording sheet such that transparency of color images formed with color toners can be increased without damaging the surface of an image recording sheet such as a film for an over head projector. SOLUTION: The image recording sheet has a transparent substrate and an image receiving layer disposed on at least one surface of the substrate. The image receiving layer contains a thermoplastic resin having 1×103 to 1×106 Pa storage elastic modulus at 160 deg.C and has 0.05 to 0.4μm surface roughness Ra.
