<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having high gas barrier resistance to oxygen gas, carbon dioxide gas and the like, moistureproofness, flavor retainability and flavor barrier resistance, and having oxygen scavenging performance as well, and to provide a multilayer container containing a layer of the resin composition, having good appearance, especially high transparency, and markedly improved in impact-peeling resistance as well. SOLUTION: This resin composition comprises (A) 70-99.9 wt.% of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and (B) 0.1-30 wt.% of a thermoplastic resin other than the copolymer (A); wherein the ethylene content ETa (mol%) and the degree of saponification SDa(%) of the copolymer (A) meet formula (1): 25<=ETa<=55 and formula (2): 90<=SDa<99, and the oxygen absorption rate of this resin composition is >=0.01 mL/m2.day.</p> |
