PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a pinching load even during the absence of the input of a motor rotation signal by judging pinching early. SOLUTION: A pinching detection device 10 is provided with a control device 1 for detecting pinching according to the cycle variation of an edge output from a rotational-frequency-of-motor sensor 7 for conducting a pulse output brought into synchronization with the movement of a motor 2 for driving an opening/closing body 22.
