SILVER HALIDE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity by multilayer-adsorbing a sensitizing dye on the surfaces of silver halide grains so that incident photons are captured with high efficiency. SOLUTION: In the silver halide color photographic sensitive material having a unit red-sensitive layer, a unit green-sensitive layer and a unit blue-sensitive layer each comprising two or more color-sensitive layers different from each other in sensitivity and non-photosensitive layers on the base, at least one of the highest sensitivity layers among the color-sensitive layers constituting the respective unit sensitive layers contains a silver halide emulsion in which a sensitizing dye has been multilayer-adsorbed on the surfaces of silver halide grains and the sensitivity of an emulsion contained in a lower sensitivity layer situated nearer the base than the highest sensitivity layer and having the same color sensitivity as the highest sensitivity layer is >=60% of the sensitivity of the silver halide emulsion in the highest sensitivity layer.
