PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic shock absorber eliminating deformation of a rod guide by dispersing force that a rod guide receives from a rebound stopper. SOLUTION: The rod guide 8 is formed from plate material and includes an inner cylinder part 8b fitting with an outer circumference of a piston rod 5, a contact flat surface 8c horizontally extending from a lower end part of the inner cylinder part 8b in the radius direction and contacting on the rebound stopper 4, a contact inclined surface part 8d descending from an outer end part of the contact flat surface 8c toward an inner circumference surface of a cylinder and contacting on an outer circumference part of the rebound stopper 4, and a cylinder fitting part 8e vertically extending from a lower end part of the contact inclined surface part 8d upward and fitting with the inner circumference surface of the cylinder 2. Accordingly, force applied from the rebound stopper 4 to the rod guide 8 does not concentrate in one direction to prevent deformation of the rod guide 8 and to make the piston rod 5 always slide smoothly. |
