PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic waver scatterer having the high certainty of sub-harmonic echo generation, especially a contrast medium for ultrasonic diagnoses. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic wave scatterer characterized in that the transmission of continuous low pressure ultrasonic waves having a sound pressure of 0.5 to 10 kPa reduces and reaches the minimum transmission (Pm) within 4μsec just after the irradiation of continuous four or more high pressure ultrasonic waves having a sound pressure of 20 kPa to 2 MPa, and further that the ratio (Pm/Po) of the minimum transmission (Pm) to the transmission (Po) of the low pressure ultrasonic waves just before the irradiation of the high pressure ultrasonic waves is 0.01 to 0.6.
