PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet for an easy open end having excellent can openability. SOLUTION: In the steel containing C, Si, Mn, S, P, Al and N, the ranges of the contents of these elements are limited in the prescribed ones. This steel is subjected to hot rolling, pickling, cold rolling and annealing and is thereafter subjected to cold rolling under prescribed conditions. Plating treatment and film pasting treatment are further performed to obtain the steel sheet for an easy open end having excellent can openability, in which tensile strength is 350 to 500 MPa, and (n) value is <=0.15.
