PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photopolymerization method involving improving the compatibility between a (meth)acrylic ester and a tackifying resin to raise the rate of photopolymerization of the (meth)acrylic ester to afford the corresponding photopolymerization product with low residual monomer content in a short time. SOLUTION: This method is characterized by comprising irradiating a photopolymerizable composition with rays enabling the photopolymerization initiator to be activated to effect a photopolymerization of the composition; wherein the composition comprises a radical-polymerizable monomer consisting mainly of a (meth)acrylic ester, a tackifying resin incompatible or low- compatible with the (meth)acrylic ester, a compatibilizing agent functioning to make the tackifying resin compatible with the (meth)acrylic ester and a photopolymerization initiator.
