PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cover structure of a baggage compartment for a surface vehicle with high usability so as to be capable of being operated by a seated operator without damaging appearance and restricting arrangement of other instruments. SOLUTION: This cover structure of the baggage compartment for the surface vehicle is equipped with the baggage compartment 5 installed on the front side of a hull 1, a cover 7 mounted through a hinge member 75 on an opening part 6 of the baggage compartment 5, and a lock mechanism 8 on the side opposite to the hinge member 75. An operating knob 14 for unlocking the lock mechanism 8 is installed in the rear than the lock mechanism 8 through a cable 74.
