METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DISPOSING OPTICAL FIBER IN EXISTING PIPELINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the support of an optical fiber for laying the optical fiber in an existing pipeline without adversely affecting the existing pipeline, and to efficiently perform laying. SOLUTION: The method is for disposing an optical fiber 20 in the inside of an existing pipeline 10. A suspension wire 30 is disposed along the inner wall of the existing pipeline 10. The method includes a process (a) in which both ends of the suspension wire 30 are fixed to a connection port 14 to connect the existing pipeline 10 with an external space in the state where the suspension wire 30 is strained, and a process (b) in which the optical fiber 20 is supported by the suspension wire 30 by means of a sheath pipe 40 or the like to dispose the fiber 20.
