METHOD FOR PRODUCING SURFACE-MODIFIED RUBBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a surface-modified rubber by imparting the surface of a discarded cured rubber with adhesivity so as to enable the discarded cured rubber to be reused in wide applications while maintaining an inexpensiveness inherent in discarded cured rubber material, and to provide elastic molded products, compounds for tire, paving materials and pavements each using the surface-modified rubber. SOLUTION: This method for producing a surface-modified rubber comprises a coating process of incorporating 100 pts.wt. of a discarded cured rubber with 0.05-5 pt(s).wt. of sulfur to make the sulfur adhere to the surface of the discarded cured rubber.
