<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carry-in system for an automated storage and retrieval warehouse installation, convenient for carrying in and out same-type cargoes packaged in predetermined numbers. SOLUTION: The automated storage and retrieval warehouse installation comprises automated storage and retrieval warehouse units 1A-1N consisting of carry-in and -out travel cranes 5 having a plurality of cargo transfer means 8a-8d arranged in parallel on an elevatable carriage 7 in the travelling direction of the crane and shelves 4, and a carry-in line 2 to which a plurality of cargo carry-in lines 15A-15N corresponding to the types of cargoes are connected. In each of the cargo carry-in lines, the same-type cargoes are made ready on a buffer conveyor 16, and when the number of the same-type cargoes on the buffer conveyor 16 gets to the number being the same as the parallel number of the cargo transfer means 8a-8d, the cargoes on the buffer conveyor 16 are delivered to the carry-in line 2 so that the same-type cargoes can be continued on the carry-in line 2 and the same-type cargoes are continuously delivered from the carry-in line 2 to each of the automated storage and retrieval units 1A-1N while being sorted.</p> |
