PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of connecting pipes in a fluid-tight end-to-end relationship, and to provide an universal pipe connector for keeping the pipe end parts with the end parts of the pipes close to each other. SOLUTION: The universal pipe connector 10, 10' aligns the end parts 13b, 14b of the pipes 13, 14 and simultaneously seals the pipes in a fluid-tight state. The universal pipe connector comprises frictional engagement collars 60, 61 or fixed engagement collars 12, 15 to hold the pipes at a predetermined position. |
