PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic transmission type projection screen which satisfies various requirements overall and has practicability. SOLUTION: The hole diameter (diameter) D of through-holes 2 of the acoustic transmission type projection screen formed by nearly uniformly distributing the many through-holes 2 over the entire surface of the projection screen 1 is set at 0.2 to 4 mm, more preferably 0.4 to 3 mm; the arraying intervals L of the through-holes 2 are set at 0.5 to 10 mm, more preferably 1 to 4 mm; arrays of the through-holes 2 are set at oblique array patterns; the intersection angleαof the hole arrays is set at 40 to 80 deg., more preferably 55 to 65 deg.; the film thickness (d) of the screen 1 is set at 0.1 to 5 mm, more preferably 0.2 to 1 mm and the relations d<=3×D, more preferably d<=2×D and D<=0.5×L are satisfied.
