PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module which enables the precise mounting and removal of an optical component in the position of an optical system set previously. SOLUTION: The optical module which enables the mounting and removal of a lens in the position of the optical system set previously is provided with a lens holder to hold the lens, a lens mount 12 incorporated in the optical system to receive the lens holder, semicircle pillar-shaped projections 34 which are formed on the lens mount 12 and the lens holder, respectively and which can accurately position the lens at the position of the optical system set previously, by engaging the lens mount 12 and the lens holder mutually in the state where the degree of freedom of the lens holder for the lens mount 12 is restricted in terms of kinematics, and guide grooves 22 and a guide pin 28 which guide the lens holder to the lens mount 12 at the position where the lens holder engages with the lens mount 12 by the semicircle pillar-shaped projections 34.
