PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cleaning failure due to heat deformation of a housing 40 of a cleaner, which cleans a surface of a rotational body, such as an intermediate transfer belt 20, with an elastic blade 50 being in contact with the surface of the body and which has such a structure that the blade 50 is held on a metal plate 55 and the metal plate 55 is mounted to a plastic housing 40 with screws. SOLUTION: A seating face 90 is provided on a support 42 of the housing 40. The seating face 90 has such a shape that protuberances are respectively formed around screw holes 42a. The seating face 90 also has such a shape that a placing face 91 is defined for placing the tops of the protuberances onto parts of corresponding ends 55a and 55b of the metal plate 55. Tightening torque of each fastening screw 80 is set to a range of 0.3 to 0.5 N.m.
