PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable image recording material having low fog, high sensitivity and high Dmax, excellent in contrast and development humidity dependence (that is, low humidity dependence of the line width of letters in development) and optimum for a photomechanical process as a heat developable image recording material for a photomechanical process and particularly for a scanner and an image setter. SOLUTION: In the heat developable image recording material having at least one image forming layer on the base, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent and at least one of compounds of formulae (A) and (B) are contained on the same side as the image forming layer.
