METHOD FOR DEPHOSPHORIZING MOLTEN IRON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dephosphorizing molten iron with which the treatment can be performed at a speed and efficiency higher than these of the conventional method. SOLUTION: In the method for dephosphorizing the molten iron by blowing oxidizing agent together with carrier gas into the molten iron held in a reaction vessel through immersion lances, the tip parts of two immersion lances are mutually separated at the vertical direction and disposed toward the same direction and also, the oxidizing agent is blown by making the oxygen supplying speed per one piece of the lance (Qo2: m3 (normal condition)/min/t) to be Qo2<=0.13.
