PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new reactive organopolysiloxane-polylactone copolymer to be suitably used as a paper/pulp modifier, fiber surface modifier, additive for cosmetics/toiletries, rubber/resin modifier or paint modifier. SOLUTION: This reactive organopolysiloxane-polylactone copolymer is obtained by introducing functional groups except unsaturated groups into a reaction product from an organopolysiloxane having in one molecule at least one hydrogen atom directly bound to a silicon atom and a polylactone oligomer having in one molecular at least one alkenyl group.
