PURPOSE: To provide a magneto-optical recording medium of a DWDD type capable of fast data transfer and a reproducing method and a device for the medium. CONSTITUTION: The magneto-optical recording medium for expanding a recording magnetic domain to reproduce information by moving a magnetic domain wall by utilizing a temperature distribution having the highest temperature Tr formed by optical beams, is provided with a motion layer where a magnetic domain wall moves, a memory layer holding a recording magnetic domestic domain corresponding to the information and an interruption layer which is arranged between the motion layer and the memory layer and whose Curie temperature is lower than those of the both layers and satisfies the following condition, i.e., (Tr-RT)/(Tc2-RT)>=1.8, in which Tc2 is the Curie temperature of the interruption layer and RT is a room temperature.
