PURPOSE: A method and a system for operating a multi-chatting shopping mall are provided to make a user enjoy shopping as well as buy a produce through the EC(Electric Commerce) on on-line by providing the multi-chatting shopping mall capable of enabling the accompanies to surf the shops while chatting. CONSTITUTION: The system for operating the multi-chatting shopping mall comprises a terminal(10) connecting to a shopping site providing a multi-chatting shopping mall service and a shopping mall system(30) providing the multi-chatting shopping mall service. The terminal comprises a browser(12) to connect to the shopping mall site and a chatting module(11) to provide the service enjoying shopping while chatting with other user connecting to the shopping mall site. The shopping mall system comprises a web server(31) managing and operating the multi-chatting shopping mall integrally, a shopping mall server(32) to provide the multi-chatting shopping mall, a chatting module(33) providing a chatting service to share the product information among the users and perform a cooperation purchase, and a database(34) storing various kinds of shopping contents, the user information and the service information.
