<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the generation of a water hammer phenomenon in a rotating fluid machine with vanes and pistons. SOLUTION: The pistons 41 are slidably fit to a plurality of cylinder members 39 radially arranged in a rotor 31, and a vane chamber 54 is partitioned between a pair of adjacent vanes 42. The movement in the radius direction of the pistons 41 and the vanes 42 is stopped so that the volumes of the cylinder members 39 and the vane chambers 54 are not changed during a period of from the finishing of an evacuation stroke evacuating a gas phase working medium from the cylinder member 39 and the vane chamber 54 and to the starting of a suction stroke starting the supply of the gas phase working medium, and thereby, the generation of the water hammer phenomenon caused by a liquid phase working medium confined in the cylinder members 39 and the vane chambers 54 is prevented.</p> |
