PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition for ink-jet printers similar to dye-based inks in particle formation stability upon ejection, excellent in adhesion, conservation stability, and safety when applied to metals, glass, plastics, or various other recording mediums, and suitable for use particularly in the field of marking. SOLUTION: This ink composition contains at least a coloring agent, a coat forming resin, and a lower alcohol having 4 or more carbons as the solvent, and in the composition, the coloring agent is preferably a basic carbon black having a BET specific surface of 100-200 m2/g and having a DBP oil absorbing rate preferably falling in the range of 40-80 ml/100 g and the solvent contains practically no ketonic solvent. |
