PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus capable of realizing miniaturization and the high efficiency of printing processing. SOLUTION: This color image forming apparatus is provided with an electrophotographic system printing part 2 performing printing by an electrophotographic system and an ink jet system printing part 3 performing printing by an ink jet system. Then, it is provided with one common fixing and drying device 4 having a fixing function for fixing toner on recording paper P where printing by the electrophotographic system is performed and a drying function for drying ink on the paper P where printing by the ink jet system is performed.
