PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a surface-modified rubber, in which characteristics of a material are utilized while maintaining a low cost essential to a waste rubber material by improving adhesive force being one of a subject in recycling a waste vulcanized rubber so that enabling reuse of a waste vulcanized rubber in uses for an elastic material, a chip shape, etc., and to obtain an elastic molding, a compound for tire, a paving material and a paving body using the surface-modified rubber. SOLUTION: This method for producing a surface-modified rubber comprises a process of immersing a vulcanized rubber in an organic solvent having 8.5-9.5 SP value.
