PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cellulose acylate film having excellent planar features by using a non-chlorine-based organic solvent. SOLUTION: A mixture of cellulose acylate having 2.6-3.0 substitution degree of hydroxy group, 200-700 viscosity average polymerization degree and <=2 mass% water content with a substantially non-chlorine-based organic solvent is cooled to -100 to -10 deg.C and then further heated at 70-200 deg.C high temperature and 0.3-30 Mpa high pressure to prepare cellulose acylate solution having 5-30 mass% concentration and the cellulose acylate film is formed from the cellulose acylate solution.
