PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic shaft having the inexpensive and simple constitution capable of restraining the occurrence of looseness in the rotational direction and the shaft bending direction, and having high flexural support rigidity. SOLUTION: This telescopic shaft is composed of a diametrally expanding member 10 for diametrally expanding an inner shaft 2 on the inside of the inner shaft 2 fitted at one end in an outer tube 1 and an adjusting screw 6 for obtaining prescribed sliding resistance of the inner shaft 2 to the outer tube 1 by expanding the diametrally expanding member 10 by being fastened by threadedly engaging with this diametrally expanding member 10. A shaft directional prescribed width of an inner shaft 2 side end part of the outer tube 1 is formed as a thin part 1b over the whole peripheral direction, and this thin part 1b is calked to the radial directional axial side. |
