PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material having good sensitivity, chemical resistance and no skin scumming in a dye color developing type heat- sensitive recording material. SOLUTION: The heat-sensitive recording material comprises a heat-sensitive recording layer containing an electron donative dye precursor and an electron acceptive developer for color developing the precursor at a heating time as main components and provided on a support. The precursor is an amorphous dye precursor. The material also comprises a color developing regulating layer obtained by polymerizing a vinyl monomer and provided on surfaces of dye precursor particles.
