<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint recognition system and a method for a vehicle capable of starting without a key and the fingerprint recognition system for the vehicle capable of preventing vehicle theft. SOLUTION: This fingerprint recognition system for the vehicle includes a starting mode setting part 110 for recognizing a set mode, reading an inputted fingerprint by scanning, and registering and deleting a registered fingerprint; a matching board 120 for storing the registered fingerprint and comparing the inputted fingerprint with the fingerprint registered beforehand so as to output an output signal; and an engine control part 200 for inputting the output signal and outputting a control signal for controlling key locking/releasing and steering locking/releasing.</p> |
