PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large stepping-stone block capable of preventing the block from floating simply after the construction, maintaining it stably, and preventing an image of the whole block from being impaired and having large recessed and projecting parts. SOLUTION: Side walls 2 and the recessed and projecting parts of the plant planting block 1 which is formed by concrete having a substantially rectangular front shape of 90 to 100 cm×90 to 100 cm and a thickness of about 10 cm or reinforced concrete and in which the side walls 2 are adjacent on the front are constituted so as to correspond mutually. Rocklike projecting parts 3, 3,... and a planting channel 4 of 6 to 10 cm are constituted by large recessed and projecting parts on a surface thereof, and many small holes 5, 5,... having a diameter of 3 to 5 cm are drilled in the planting channel 4. These blocks are provided and arranged lengthwise and crosswise on a surface of the ground, and soil for taking root or a material for taking root is filled into the small holes 5, 5,... and the planting channel 4 to plant plants 6 such as brushwood and Ophiopogon japonicus so that they grow fully.
