PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winder capable of obtaining signal for controlling a driving device for the winder in proportion to the tensile force of the winding material under the soft treatment of the winding material. SOLUTION: This winder 1 for an especially delicate winding material 8 to be supplied through a supply device 11 is provided with a winding spindle 4 to be driven, a device 14 for detecting the signal for controlling a driving device for the winding spindle 4 in proportion to the tensile force of the winding material 8, and a traverse device 10. The device 14 for detecting the signal proportional to the tensile force of the winding material 8 is provided with the only one pulley 16, and this pulley 16 is arranged on a cantilever arm 15 to be moved within a limited range, and the winding material 8 is directly guided through the pulley 16 between the supply device 11 and the traverse device 10 without using other guide pulley.
