PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a herbicide composition for paddy fields exhibiting remarkably synergistic effect on sulfonylurea-based compound-resistant Scirpus juncoides or the like giving no phytotoxicity on rice at all. SOLUTION: This herbicide composition for paddy fields for sulfonylurea- based herbicide-resistant weeds is characterized by comprising indanofan as a 1st active ingredient and, as a 2nd active ingredient, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of clomeprop, naproanilide, pyrazolate, pyrazoxyfen, benzofenap, benzobicyclon, bromobutide, cumyluron, daimuron, benfuresate, sulcotrion, mesotrion, and pyrimidine derivatives of the general formula (I) (X is a 1-6C alkyl or 1-6C alkoxy-1-6C alkyl; R is difluoromethyl or trifluoromethyl; and Me is methyl). The other objective method for controlling the above weeds by the use of the composition is also provided.
