PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting a printer head in which clogging of a series of ink nozzles constituting a printer head can be inspected in units of nozzle in a short time. SOLUTION: Under a state where a thermal ink drop detector is disposed in front of the ink nozzle in a printer head to be inspected, a group of ink nozzles constituting a printer head are driven continuously in a predetermined order such that a specified number of ink drops are ejected from each ink nozzle and the output variation rate of the thermal ink drop detector is monitored during continuous driving of respective ink nozzles. When the monitored output variation rate is lower than a predetermined rate, a decision is made that the ink nozzle under driving is possibly clogged with ink. |
