PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device used for settling beverage precipitate from a residual mixture in a beverage making machine. SOLUTION: The device is constituted of a residue pipe line 2, a precipitate receiving vessel 3 and a filtration means. The filtration means 8 is constituted of a 1st and a 2nd filter, which are arranged respectively in front and rear in the view from the flow direction of the residual mixture and provided respectively with a filtrate discharge means, to design a device of this type having a simple structure to enable the simple maintenance, and a fluidized connecting part for the residual mixture discharged from the residue pipe line 2 and filter cake settled on the 1st filter is provided to by-pass the 1st filter and to be connected to the precipitate receiving vessel 3.
