PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the intensity characteristics and consolidation characteristics while reducing the volume of dredged mud. SOLUTION: The mud 2 deposited on the sea bottom is dredged by a grab dredge vessel 1 and is loaded into an earth carrying barge 3. Next, the dredged mud transported by the earth carrying barge 3 is once stored into a mud storage tank 4 installed coastwise and thereafter the dredged mud in the mud storage tank 4 is driven to a screw decanter 5, by which the dredged mud is dewatered. A conditioning agent is then added to the under of the screw decanter 5, i.e., the dewatered mud and the mud is mixed by a mixer 6 at need, by which the conditioned soil is made.
