PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and correctly check whether or not there is water in a water pan in a grill cooker. SOLUTION: In the grill cooker, the water pan 22 to be filled with water is stored and disposed at the bottom of a cooking space 18. Before the temperature inside the cooking space 18 increases very high after the heating operation is started, it is checked whether or not there is water in the water pan 22 by temporarily stopping the heating operation and examining rise in temperature during the stoppage of the heating operation. Unlike the conventional method, it is not necessary to set many criteria for judging whether the rate of rise in temperature is large or small for each target temperature, making an easy check-up of the existence of water.
