PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a releasable float stopper having a function which enables the pulling of a fish to the top of a fishing rod on the hooking of a fish without needing a conventional method for directly grasping a fishing line with a hand, even when a distance (continental shelf) between the float and the needle is large. SOLUTION: This releasable float stopper is characterized by perforating a hole 3 ranging from the outer periphery of a body 4 to the outside at one end of the body 4, forming a fishing line-winding portion in the central portion of the body 4, and disposing a fishing line-hanging portion 5 formed from a rubber material and used for nipping the fishing line at the other end of the body 4. When a fish is hooked on a fishhook, the strongly fixed float stopper is automatically released.
