PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for recovering excreta of a dog with a simple method of use capable of making the dog perform walk motion without requiring the carrying of a tool for posttreatment of an excreting act performed by the dog during the walk motion of the dog and without paying special attention to a course or a place of the walk. SOLUTION: This apparatus 26 for recovering excreta is composed of an installation body 12, a buttock application support 18 and a bag body 24. The installation body 12 is provided with a front tightening band part 32, a trunk rear application member 36 and a backbone stretchable band part 40 connecting the front tightening band part 32 to the trunk rear application member 36, applied to the dog body 10 along the backbone part 38 of the dog body 10 and stretchable in response to the bending and stretching of the backbone and the buttock application support 18 is freely detachable relatively to the installation body 12. The bag body 24 is formed of a degradable tissue material and the buttock application support 18 is provided with leaf springlike opening and closing pressing members 44 installed on the periphery of each passage hole 16 for the excreta in isolated plural sites, holding receiving port edges 42 of the bag body 24 in a nipped form in an applied state of the receiving port edges 42 of the bag body 24 and attached to the buttock application support 18. The bag body 24 is handled in an always folded state and is composed of a bellows-like stretchable member forming a receiving part 22 by extending the interior during use.
