PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw-away ball end mill with a throw-away tip accurately installable thereon without a complicated machining. SOLUTION: The abutting part 8 of a body 3 is formed in an arc shape forming a convex curve toward the end part side of the body 3, an arc at the abutting part 8 has a radius of curvature with a radius of R1, and the center of curvature of the arc is positioned on the axis L of the body 3. The bottom arc part 9a of the throw-away tip 2 is formed in an arc-shape forming a concave curve toward the end part side of the throw-away tip 2, an arc at the bottom arc part 9a has a radius of curvature with a radius of R2, and the center of curvature of the arc is positioned on the symmetrical axis P of the throw-away tip 2. The radius R1 of the arc at the abutting part 8 of the body 3 is larger than the radius R2 of the arc at the bottom arc part 9a of the throw-away tip 2. Since the bottom arc part 9a and the abutting part 8 are formed in arc shapes, the throw-away tip 2 can be accurately installed on the body 3.
