The method involves processing an image motif using a computer-assisted image processing system to form an image original ready for output. The method involves applying a base print of white to the substrate surface or to the print image for image points with little or no color coverage before applying the printed image. Independent claims are also included for the following: a transparent, translucent, opaque or colored packaging foil printed according to the inventive method and a flexible foil with a surface that appears colored, mirrored and/or metallized printed according to the inventive method. |
