PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throwaway ball end mill with a throwaway tip accurately and firmly installable thereon. SOLUTION: The abutting part 8 of a body 3 comprises a horizontal abutting part 8a formed linearly to be generally vertical to the axis L of a body 3 and an inclined abutting part 8b tilted toward the end side of the body 3. The bottom surface part 9 of the throwaway tip 2 comprises a horizontal bottom surface part 9a formed linearly to be generally vertical to the symmetrical axis P of the throwaway tip 2 and an inclined bottom surface part 9b tilted toward the end side of the throwaway tip 2. The horizontal bottom surface part 9a is allowed to abut on the horizontal abutting part 8a, and the inclined bottom surface part 9b is allowed to abut on the inclined abutting part 8b to position the throwaway tip 2 to accurately install the throwaway tip 2 on the body 3. Since the horizontal bottom surface part 9a is allowed to surface-abut on the horizontal abutting part 8a, the throwaway tip 2 can be firmly fixed to the body 3.
