PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sitting bench type bathtub in which the bottom face of the bathtub is utilized as a sitting face in such a way that even a physically challenging person with an unconvenient lower half part of the body and an aged person whose legs and waist have become weak can take a bath by their own efforts or by a little help. SOLUTION: This sitting bench type bathtub in which a bathtub body is constituted by a cutout channel A prepared by cutting out the front face of the peripheral wall of the tub and a lid body B closely hooked to its open face A1 and a bottom face A2 of the bathtub body is supported by leg pieces C with a specified height in such a way that the bottom face A2 of this bathtub body can be utilized as the sitting face for the person taking a bath is provided.
