A matrix patch for the controlled delivery of cosmetic skincare additives to the skin, comprising a flexible outer layer and a water-insoluble pressure-sensitive adhesive matrix, the pressure sensitive matrix being free from mineral oils and tackifier resins and comprising: a) synthetic framework polymers based on polyisobutylene, at from 25 to 90% by weight b) amorphous poly-alpha-olefin at from 5 to 30% by weight, c) an insoluble, especially hydrophilic, filler at from 0 to 60% by weight, and d) cosmetic skincare additives at from 0.2 to 30% by weight. |
