<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a carry of a hitting ball by increasing resiliency of a face surface while securing a degree of freedom of design of a head, to lower the center of gravity of the head, and to firmly fix a weight member to a sole part. SOLUTION: This iron golf club head is provided with a plate-like face member 2 having the face surface 2a, a back face member 3 having the thick sole part 33, joined to the back face side of the face member 2, and forming a hollow part 6 between the back face member 3 and a back face 2b of the face member 2, and a weight member 5 composed of a weight body 51 and a projecting part 52 inserted into the sole part 33 and having a specific gravity larger than the face member 2 and the back face member 3. The projecting part 52 is fitted in a through-hole 33b formed in the sole part 33, and is fixed to the through-hole 33b by being collapsed and plastically deformed.</p> |
