PURPOSE: A charging apparatus of a wireless phone system using a 2-cell battery and a charging method thereof are provided to reduce the number of battery cells and manufacture cost. CONSTITUTION: A charging apparatus of a wireless phone system(2) using a 2-cell battery(1) comprises a controlling unit(3), a voltage increasing unit(5) and a voltage distributing unit(6). The controlling unit(3) determines a charge voltage of the wireless phone(2), changes a charge time and a charge current depending on the determined charge voltage, and charges the two-cell battery(1). The voltage increasing unit(5) increases the voltage of the battery cell to a level of a bias voltage of an inner circuit such as an RF unit(4) depending on a voltage increasing control signal from the controller(3). The voltage distributing unit(6) supplies the output voltage of the voltage increasing unit(5) to the inner circuit.
