PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform ejection of a liquid by a method wherein a property for removing bubbles in a common liquid chamber is improved to prevent bubbles from entering a nozzle. SOLUTION: A liquid jet head comprises an element substrate 1 having a plurality of ejection nozzles 2 and a plurality of heating elements 3, the common liquid chamber 10 for supplying a liquid to ejection nozzles 2 from the rear face side of the element substrate 1 and liquid supplying holes 13, 14 for supplying the liquid to the common liquid chamber 10. An upper ceiling face 10a of the common liquid chamber 10 is formed to be inclined with respect to a horizontal plane and a bubble passage 20 for allowing bubbles 30 to flow out is connected to the uppermost section or a portion in the vicinity of the uppermost section of the upper ceiling face 10a. When the common liquid chamber 10 is filled with the liquid, the liquid is injected with a pressure through the liquid supplying hole 13 and an air is allowed to flow out through the liquid supplying hole 14 along the inclination of the upper ceiling face 10a. During the filling of the liquid or the printing, the bubbles 30 involved in the liquid in the common liquid chamber 10 are collected into the uppermost section along the inclination of the upper ceiling face 10a to be discharged to the open air from the bubble passage 20 through a dummy ejection nozzle 21. |
