A wave energy converter grouped into a primary converter for converting a wave energy into the other mechanical energy, wherein a frame body for partitioning an area of sea is disposed around movable objects and guide side plates (4) are installed at the opening parts allowing seawater to be accessed, the depth (a) of the frame body being formed shorter than 1/6 of the length of the wave caused by the seawater, whereby a horizontal force can be avoided from acting on the support parts of the movable objects installed in the frame body to amplify the amplitude of the vertical movement of the water level around the movable objects. |
