[Class 35] In an enclosed machine having an inner casing exposed to an external air current, there are two internal air currents which traverse separate passages arranged longitudinally with regard to the stator and in contact with the inner casing, and one air current traverses the rotor ducts while the other remains outside the rotor. In the form shown, the main path 3 includes the rotor ducts 8 and alternate ducts between the stator and the inner casing 7 while the other ducts on the inner side of this casing are traversed in the opposite direction by air which branches from the main stream and returns to the fan 4, as indicated by the arrow 9.
