PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel reinforced stone plate suitable to be used as a surface material such as a floor, a wall, a pole or the like of a building. SOLUTION: The novel reinforced stone plate is obtained by forming a molten liquid of a natural stone containing a silicate component in a plate-like state by cooling to solidify the liquid and providing reinforcing ribs therein. A method for manufacturing the reinforced stone plate comprises a step of obtaining a front surface plate material expressing a desired pattern on the front surface by heating one or a plurality of types of natural stones each containing the silicate component at 1,500 deg.C or higher in a melting furnace and pouring the obtained molten liquid in a mold, and a step of cooling and solidifying the one type or the plurality of types of the molten liquids of the natural stone containing the silicate component by disposing net-like reinforcing ribs on the rear surface side of the obtained front surface plate material. |
