摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously and continuously measure a ventricular volume and ventricular pressure in a normally living state by embedding a telemetry system in the body of a small animal. SOLUTION: The system consists of a multifunction catheter 2 consisting of a conductance catheter 8 and a pressure sensor 9, a telemetry transmission part 3 for processing and transmitting a signal which can be obtained by the catheter 2 and a power source 5. In the part 3, ventricular volume signals occurring in the respective segments 8s of the catheter 8 and ventricular pressure signals occurring in the sensor 9 are fetched by signal detection parts 10 and 12 corresponding to each other and the signals of these channels are converted to time-division-multiplexed positional modulation pulses by multiplexing conversion parts 18 and 18A and then transmitted on a fixed carrier wave.
